Quiet studio with folded stonewashed linen and natural light

About Home Linen Shop

A studio built on the feel of good sheets

We started with one badly-made bed and a stubborn belief that the cloth you sleep in every night should be the last thing you compromise on — pure flax, honestly woven, softened for real life.

Our story

Home Linen Shop began in a Seongsu-dong flat in the spring of 2021, with a single set of sheets that had cost too much and felt like paper. We went looking for real linen instead — the kind our grandparents' beds were made with — and fell down a rabbit hole of flax origins, weave weights, and washing methods. What started as one frustrated search turned into a small studio built entirely around the feel of a well-made bed.

We source pure flax from the European linen belt, where damp Atlantic weather grows the long, strong fibres that make linen worth keeping. It is woven by a family mill we visit each season, then cut and stonewashed in small runs so every duvet cover, pillowcase, and towel arrives already soft. We stock a tight edit of weights and shades rather than a wall of options — if we wouldn't sleep in it ourselves for a decade, it doesn't make the shelf.

We believe in owning less linen and better linen. One set of sheets that breathes in summer, warms in winter, and softens for years is worth more than a closet of blends that pill and go grey. That is the quiet idea behind the whole collection, and it's the invitation we extend to you: start with the bed you actually sleep in, and build out from there.

What we stand for

Three things we won't compromise on

The fibre comes first

Pure long-staple European flax, woven at honest weights and OEKO-TEX certified. No blends hidden in the label, no chemical softeners faking a hand the fibre hasn't earned. Just linen that gets better with age.

Kind to the planet

Flax needs far less water and pesticide than cotton and uses the whole plant, so almost nothing is wasted. We ship in plastic-free packaging and cut in small runs to avoid overproduction.

Made to be slept in

Nothing here is too precious for real life. This is linen for nightly use, hot sleepers, kids, and endless wash cycles — stonewashed soft and built to survive a decade of laundry.
